Convert.app brings file conversion, unit calculations, exchange rates and practical browser tools into one place. Our aim is to make common tasks easier without asking you to create an account or hand over a file just to change its format.
Privacy is a design priority. We have focused on building zero-upload, browser-only conversion tools: your browser does the processing, and your selected files do not need to be sent to a remote conversion server. This approach also lets you start working without waiting for a large upload.
What you can do
- Files: convert supported image, PDF, document, audio, video and archive formats, and use editing tools such as image cropping or PDF page operations.
- Units: calculate conversions across categories including length, mass, temperature, energy and data, with reference explanations and tables.
- Currencies: calculate currency pairs using externally sourced, cached rates and review their update status.
- Browser tools: work with text, number systems and structured data using utilities designed for practical tasks.
Available operations depend on the selected tool, input format and browser. We explain practical limits on the relevant pages rather than treating every format as interchangeable.
Local processing, explained clearly
Zero upload refers to the file being converted. Visiting the site still involves downloading pages, scripts, fonts and, for some tools, additional libraries or OCR language data. Currency data is also fetched and cached on the server. These ordinary network requests are different from uploading your file for conversion.
Our privacy and cookies page explains browser storage, technical logs and external resources. Downloaded results stay on your device; we cannot recover a file that was processed only in your browser.

Convert.app provides multilingual tools and conversion pages, with language coverage varying by section. Labels, descriptions, examples and related links aim to make the tools understandable in context. The site search works in the browser and helps you find supported tools and popular conversions.
Check important results
Browser capabilities and device memory affect performance, especially for large files. Complex document layouts, unusual codecs or encrypted files may need additional checking. Keep your originals and inspect converted results before relying on them.
