About Portable Network Graphics
PNG (Portable Network Graphics) is a compressed image file format used in digital devices. The format, which was used more frequently in the old period, is now expected to be replaced by the GIF, file format that we encounter more frequently in the Internet world. This file format owned by Unisys. For this reason, this file format, which used to be widely used, has now been replaced by the GIF file format over time. The biggest disadvantage of the PNG file is that all image information is changed again during viewing. The biggest advantage of the PNG file is undoubtedly the space it saves for the user when the compression process is done. A PNG file offers 10% to 30% greater area performance when compressed than the GIF file format. Therefore, although it is an old compression method, the PNG file format has not lost its validity yet.
